WELCOME TO GGPR CENTRAL LIBRARY
The library of Govt. Girls Polytechnic Raipur (C.G.), with its excellent collection of books, periodicals and multimedia and a variety of services, acts as a support and inspiration to the teaching and learning community of the technical education.
The Polytechnic library provides information and ideas that are fundamental to functioning successfully in today’s information and knowledge-based society. The Govt. Library Automation
To facilitate the effective use of books the GGPR Library has started computerisation with "Koha" Library Management Soft -ware. The software provides facilities for catalogue search, circulation of books and magazines, reservation of books, reports, class library management, fine collection, library statistics etc. in beginning library automation started by E-granthalaya LMS but later it was migrated on koha 19.11 LMS.
Library Collection
The library Govt. Girls Polytechnic, Raipur has got a good collection of judiciously selected books for students. Book Selection is mainly based on the recomme ndations of HOD's, Lectures, subject expert and students. There are 22184 books available for circulation and more than 300 back volumes of journals available for student reference. Apart from this library GGPR has got a good collection of journals and magazines.
Library Services
We provide online services including online book reservation through the library koha OPAC (Online Public Access Catatolue) in institute premises and also available in remote access through library website https://libraryggp raipur. wixsite.com/library website design and maintained by the Praveen Kumar Dewangan, Librarian. Library book reservation service also provided through the remote login and self books check in availble in library.
Digital Library
The Govt. Girls Polytechnic, Raipur Library also have a Digital Library services to staff & students, for this purpose exclusively installed a IBM server, using Vision Net Digital Library Software 3.0 (Funded by DTE) Library digitized following materials and hosted in intranet. The library has online access to the journals published by JGATE and NDL. IP based intranet access for online journals are provided within the campus.
